How much does a private event magician cost?
Most private event bookings land between $700 and $1,000.

How long is the show?
One hour of highly interactive magic for the whole group, full of screaming and laughter.
The whole group gets involved, and everyone leaves with an experience they can't explain.
How many guests does it work for?
Anywhere from a small group of six to a party of forty.
Smaller groups get more one-on-one moments. Larger groups get a bigger shared reaction. Both work, they just feel different. The same show also runs at bachelorette parties.
Do we need a stage or any setup?
Nothing at all. No stage, no microphone, no sound system.
Ben performs in whatever space you're already in, a living room, a rented house, a private room at a restaurant, or a backyard.
Can you perform at a house or a rented venue?
Yes, and it's one of the most common private event bookings.
A house works especially well, since everyone is relaxed, nobody is watching the clock, and there's no venue schedule to work around.
Is the show built around the guest of honor?
Yes. They're at the center of it, with material personalized to them and their story.
The rest of the group is fully involved though, so it never turns into forty minutes of watching one person. Guests often book Ben again for their own wedding afterward.
Is it appropriate for a mixed group?
Yes. The material is written for adults and works whether the group is close friends or spans three generations of family.
Ben reads the room and calibrates. Nobody gets embarrassed and nobody gets made the punchline. Past groups said as much on the reviews page.
What kind of magic is it?
Close-up card magic, mind-reading, and impossible moments using the phones already in your guests' hands.
It happens inches away rather than on a stage, which is what makes it hard to explain afterward. There are clips on the videos page.
When during the party should the magic happen?
Any time during the night works.
Most groups book it once everyone has arrived and settled in, before dinner or before the group heads out.
Do you travel for private events?
Yes. Ben is based in Rhode Island and regularly travels to Providence, Newport, Boston, Cape Cod, and throughout Connecticut.
Travel outside New England is also available, just ask.
How far in advance should we book?
As early as you can. Weekend dates fill fast, especially in summer and around the holidays.
If your date is coming up soon, reach out anyway. Last-minute availability does happen.
